Control block for parameters of the automatic blocking signaling unit (ACU)
The ACU was developed by CJSC «Modular Tornado Systems» at the request of the Automation and Telemechanics Service of the West Siberian Railway JSC "Russian Railways" in 2009.
Let's list the most significant reasons that formed the need and also the benefits from the introduction of BCA:
1. Needs repair and diagnostics. Signaling cabinets (alarm, centralization and blocking) are located on the hauls every 2.5 km. Diagnostics of breakdowns cannot be made remotely - inspection is required. Repair and determination of the necessary spare parts is possible only after inspection. Thus, repairing signaling cabinets is a long, laborious and inefficient process. ACU is equipped with a special modem repeater and allows you to remotely determine the location and cause of the breakdown which significantly increases the efficiency of repairs and reduces labor costs.
2. Checkpoints. ACU provides the possibility of local control of traffic lights and signals, for example, when repairing a section of the road.
3. Monitoring function. ACU has a high-precision measuring part and allows you to connect to field-level networks and remotely transmit to the control room information about the state of the tracks, the movement of trains, signaling and energy management. To increase the reliability of measurements, signals from field equipment can be duplicated, tripled, etc. (100 channels provided). On the basis of this equipment, monitoring centers (MC) were created, the dispatchers of which monitor the status of all signals on one screen and, in the event of a problem, promptly contacts the dispatcher of the corresponding service.
4. Lightning protection ACU. Most of the breakdowns and failure of signaling cabinets occur due to thunderstorms. The developed unit is resistant to electromagnetic disturbances, passed the appropriate test checks, has noise immunity according to class A GOST R 51522, according to class III TSZhT GOST R 50656-2001 with performance criterion B.
